Hello, due to space constraints I will be making a mini PC build but I don't want to compromise on performance or cooling which I know will be a challenge.

My aim is to make it as silent as possible. I've been looking at some cases and it can't really be any bigger than a silverstone RVZ01. That case really caught my eye since it doesn't have many compromises.

Will a 5930k be able to stay cool with a low profile cooler in there? Any suggestions for coolers that will fit?

I will need a blue ray and dvd writer and reader and I saw that it only takes slimline ones. Also the power supplies are the sff versions so which are the most reliable and quiet ones?

My budget is whatever I need to make a decent pc which is silent and cool which will be small enough. I have a monitor and mouse and keyboard so that is fine. I just need the system itself.
If anybody has a sff PC please post it here so I can see how it is set out. Thank you all in advance.

OcUK don't stock any ITX X99 motherboards right now. Can you source one, or change to 1150 platform, or change case to micro-ATX? Best get that sorted first.

What will the build be for?

I'd rethink this, the Asrock X99E-ITX is not using the same socket mountings as the rest of the X99 boards (it uses the narrow ILM s2011 board mountings) and will be a Pig to find a quiet cooler for (if at all) you can use in the RVZ01 or Milo ML07 (both derivatives of the same case)
Airflow around the CPU is pretty bad in the case and I really wouldn't trust the cooler supplied with the board for use in the RVZ01
A top down cooler is pretty much mandatory to get some air into the case and around the socket and vrm's.
It's going to roast a Hex Core CPU in there if it's reaching substantial loads.

The case itself is not quiet and if you put it in a space where there's limited airflow around it, it's going to howl like a Banshee when the fans spin up in a vain attempt to keep things cooler.
It's not as bad when using it in a vertical orientation, but it's still far from quiet.

For an X99 build and still keeping it small I'd move up to m-ATX, The Silverstone Grandia GD04 / 05 cases are exceptional for building quiet, powerful and stealthy PC's that just look like part of your AV gear (If it's not part of your AV gear my apologies, it's unclear what you want atm).
It has a similar footprint to the RVZ01 (in it's horizontal orientation) just taller at 150mm.

You will however be limited again with Coolers due to your need for an optical drive.
The only way around that really is to forget HTPC style cases and start looking at small towers or cubes.
Or if the optical drive is something you only use on occasion, an external usb drive is a good solution you can just plug in when you need it.

If you're still set on the RVZ01 the link below has probably the most builds and thoughts of people who've used it. (myself included)

We can help more when you tell us what you want to do with it.
If you look at the top of the SFF section here, we have a gallery with loads of builds in it.

Thank you so much for all the advice and help, I appreciate it.

My main aim is to build a small, but quiet and powerful pc that is fit for rendering but gaming too. I had a 4790k before but I really don't want to buy that agin as it is a dead socket now and I want to upgrade not sidegrade.

As far as I know with these sort of builds quiet is out of the picture since the space constraints prevent a decent cooler that can cool a 6core x99 processor. I think I'm going to have to find some more space or put this computer somewhere other than the living room.
