Im ordering a laptop from overclockers this week but i based in norway most of the time. I am wondering if there is anywhere on the website i can buy a 2 prong power plug for when in norway instead of the 3 prong used in england?

Have you spoken to OcUK to see if they can help?
Otherwise Amazon or eBay are your friends. But first you'll need to know which connector is needed at the PSU end.

i have spoken to them and i dont think they can provide one with the msi laptop, anyone got any useful links where i can buy one for this msi g363vr ?

Would it not be easier just to buy a travel adapter that is rated to handle the power?

Edit: Failing that I think you'd have more luck picking one up in Norway.

Google 'europlug cloverleaf cable' and take your pick.

This assumes that the laptop PSU uses a C5 cloverleaf input and that Norway uses the same mains sockets that most of mainland Europe does.

As above they must be really easy to buy in Norway.

Surely just get a multi travel adapter for using UK plugs in other sockets, as said by adidan.

i would get a multi travel adapter but i was doing some research and your standard travel adapter can not be high voltage enough for the laptop PWS.

That makes no sense at all.

You can run kettles and irons through travel adapters. A laptop isn't going to pull anything near that.

All they are doing is changing the physical layout of the socket pins. The voltage doesn't need changing. Even if the voltage was different it almost certainly comes with a multi voltage power supply.

I already have a travel adapter what would be perfect to use which has the maximum of 250V. Can anyone 100% confirm that a travel adapter with 2 pins converter wont **** up my new expsensive gaming laptop? I just have a weird feeling long hours of gaming using the adapter will do something wrong

How could it possibly do anything to the laptop?

It's no different to chopping off the UK three pin plug and replacing it with a European style one.

And you still have the option of buying a replacement mains cable that already has an European plug on it. They're easily available via mail order in the UK, and must be available over the counter in Europe.
