Ok, I'll start off with what was wrong, I wanted too install Kaspersky 2010 Internet security, and it was saying there was Mcafee files still on the netbook, so I searched everywhere on it, and windows said there wasent, so I did a system restore, and still no luck,

so I thought I'd install windows 7, so I took my HDD out (didnt have a external DVD drive, so this was the only way I could do it) and put it in my PC, and installed Windows 7, and it was working fine, untill I put the HDD back into my netbook, then I tryed booting it up, but for some reason insted of the 4 little balls spinning round, it was a bar like what vista had, and before it could finish it went too a blue screen for about 3-5 seconds, and there was all this writting (dont ask what it said, because it didnt stay on for long enough),

so I managed to borrow a external DVD drive, and a windows XP recovery disk off a friend, and it installed fine, and booted up fine, but now I'm having driver issues with my wifi and Nokia OVI suite, so I took it out and put it in my PC, cause I thought, least this way I have a bigger keyboard and screen to work with, and its doing the same thing it did with windows 7, but this time its windows XP and on my PC not my netbook

I hope this isnt too confusing, but Ive never had this kinda problem before, and I'm getting ****ed off

There were probably remnants of McAfee left in App Data and Registry.
As for installing Windows using a 'surrogate' PC, from my experience, that only works if the hardware is identical so I'm not surprised you have had issues.
What I did with my netboot was install Windows via USB memory stick using something similar to these instructions. Worked fine for me.

thank you Nanobot, I'll try doing that tomorrow, and did you install windows 7 or XP on yours?
