Need help with SATA and CD Drive

Hi guys

I have an Abit Fatal1ty board which has 4 SATA ports on it. Two of these are for 2 HDs and I also have a SATA CD Drive.

When all three were plugged in and you booted, the Abit splash screen would hang for ages then it would go to post and show the two HDs but not the CD Drive.

If you remove the SATA cable from the CD Drive and boot, the splash screen dissapears straight away.

Any ideas?

Try a different SATA cable
Try plugging the CD drive into a different port
Check manual doesn't say anything about not supporting SATA CD drives, or if they have to be connected in a certain way - you may even need to do something in the BIOS.
