need help with stuttering??

i have a quad core 4gb mem and 2900xt and a blu ray player. I was using onboard sound on my abit ip35pro in vista x64. I installed an audigy 4 and every movie i play from dvd blu ray or not stutters in power dvd making it unwatchable. Any ideas??

Have you downloaded the latest drivers from the Creative website? Do you need to disable onboard sound in your BIOS settings? Although Creative haven't had a very good rep for their driver support and Vista in the past, not sure what it's like now tbh I have a M-Audio card.

yes latest drivers and onboard audio is disabled too

i take the audigy 4 out back to onboard and its fine again?

Must be the cards drivers then I guess, don't know what to tell you apart from quite a few other people have had problems with Vista and Creative soundcards.

Try posting in the Sound City sub forum to hopefully get more help.
