Hello!

I've just setup my new Intel Pentium Dual-Core E5200:D, and i`m now tweaking my existing Windows XP install from Pentium 4 HT for Dual Core use. There are two processors showing up in Device Manager and Task Maniger, so I presume, that means Dual-Core mode is enabled in windows???

I came across this site with some microsoft patch fixes for Dual Core, but as ive got Service Pack 3 already installed, I don`t know whether i need these patches listed on the site???

I've also done the
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Throttle tweak but don`t know if i can use the BOOT.ini command, /usepmtimer on my E5200???

Thank you for any helpful responses;)

Hotfix KB896256 is included in SP3 so it's not required.

I've also done the
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Throttle tweak but don`t know if i can use the BOOT.ini command, /usepmtimer on my E5200???

No ideas about that one I'm afraid.
