Need help with upgrade

Hi,

As a student finding the money for upgrades and whatnot is quite hard and when i do get some money it isnt a lot so im in a bit of a predicament. I want to spend max £150 and ill need a mobo, cpu and ram.

This is where the problem is for that money i can get an AMD system based around a 5200+ but the problem is i dont know which motherboard to buy.

On the other hand i would like to buy a c2d system as i know they are better but in that price range it looks as if it is going to be hard to get a decent cpu and mobo as decent c2d mobos seem a lot a more expensive than amd ones.

a tiny bit over, get the IP35MB if you can afford the extra,will be a better OCer and or E2180 as it is easier to OC due to higher multipliers

what speeds do you think ill get with an e2140?

and ive got thermalrite si-120 cooler is it compatible witht that mobo?

in theory about 3ghz,
if this is you cooler, http://www.thermalright.com/a_page/main_product_si120.htm then no, it does not appear to support lga775 (C2D's socket)
