My Current Specs
GeForce GTX 960

Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2400 CPU @ 3.10GHz

Ram 8 GB

MotherBoard ASUStEk P8Z68-V LX

Power supply – FSP450-60APN – DC output – 450W

I'm looking to upgrade my graphics card and CPU for around £500 give or take so I can get back into PUBG. But I have no idea if my old PSU and MB will affect this. Do I need to upgrade my PSU and MB or could I get away with just upgrading my Graphics card and CPU?

I'm afraid you will need to add the price of a PSU onto that as chances are it will blow when connected to a new card/system (very poor quality i'm afraid).

Either way, i wouldn't want it connected to £500 of new gear.

Do you want to add ~£70 to budget?

You're sorted - budget dictated build and made a tidy spec.

You'll enjoy the performance boost.

*bin that old PSU - don't be tempted to pass it on or troubleshoot your new system.

That's actually terrible advice, not trying to cause an argument but FSP make decent PSU's and although that model only offers 360w on dual 12v rails, it's not trash at all. Throwing it in the bin is wasteful unless it is 100% faulty, and it is that attitude that makes the world a worse place. I see/use more FSP PSU's than any other brand, except maybe Bicker which make Seasonic look cheap and nasty. ;)

No argument @Journey - for some reason i had ACE in my head when i added the * and the bracket (had to recheck the OP when i read your post as i thought you had gone eco warrior mad).

My bad - thought it was generic unit - but still recommend swapping out, if OP is confused.

*Never object to errors being pointed out - cheers for heads up.
