So 3 years ago i did the misstake of buying a alienware x51.. as i wasnt very good at building "good" computers i decided to buy a premade gaming system,

i do not know what to do.. i only got a 240 psu, i jsut recently got to know that. so i cant upgrade to what ever gpu i want. so i guess i got 2 choices.. get best i can for what i got or build a new system.

but then i wonder if its safe to use the cpu from this computer and build a new based on that one? its a i5 4430 3.2 with clocking. i would need a new motherboard as the one in the computer is some special made one.. (yep i got fooled by the pretty words).. so i guess i need a new cooler aswell then?
need a new gpu.. my 645 is not nearly good enough for the games thats comming out this year.. and what watt would i need for psu?

i got a budget around 250 give or take 50, was thinking atleast £120 on graphics card, and try and find a motherboard for socket 1150 i belive..

i dont think i missed anything?
gpu
psu
case
motherboard
cpu fan

Ah thank you for your help. I'll take a look at the items :) very happy for the help. But what would be best the he force or the his radon? I only ever gone for Geforce or nvidia as I heard about them and tested them my self. Have never had a gourmet last longer then 1 year max 2 before they seem to overheat or just die on me.

What's the word you're actually looking for (instead of "gourmet" which means something else)?

The Radeon 380's are doing better than the 960's. Today the price of 380 4GB's has gone down, so you could pick up one with a 3 year warranty for slightly less cost. The Gigabyte model for example. Or Asus. Having said that, the Sapphires are getting very good reviews (good cooling etc), even if they have a 2 year warranty. Just depends what's important to you.

haha meant geforce, writing on the phone causes a lot of auto "corrects" to happen.

well i like to play lagfree and preferable with better cooling.. i have had gpus that overheat too easely. the warranty if its 2 or 3 years i dont think matter to me as i kinda expect to need to buy a new gpu by that time anyway.. games advances way to fast for my purse sometimes.

was looking at the 960´s but in closest store i found 950´s with 20% more not sure if thats a good trade? well i dont want to change gpu for next 2/3 years. i guess i really want value for the money mainly.. dont want to spend loads of money on something that wont last atleast 2 years in the gaming world..

Well if you actually return to what exrayted suggested.

Change the GFX card to - https://www.overclockers.co.uk/giga...ddr5-pci-express-graphics-card-gx-167-gi.html

It works as this card is a single 8pin connector (the OcUK description is wrong and needs amending).

http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=5462#ov

Plus it has a longer warranty.

ah thank you.. must have thinked wrong when i somehow thought it had 2 8 pins on that psu :)

well im gonna go and be busy ordering now :) thanks for the help :)
