change dump file to mini dump or even off, unless you need to analyse system crashes.

I checked system restore and that is switched off

this is left click of C drive and screen shot of C drive selected folders but it seems small to me.
On computer it is showing 79GB free of 232GB

got 79Gb left so where has the other 113Gb gone - I am obviously missing something.

post a pic from disk management, you might have more than one partition on the SSD, like a system reserved one.

I have just looked and there is a 100mb reserved for system.

I am OK now - got 192GB which is about what I should have.

You can limit the disk space used by System Restore. See here for Windows 8. You need to use the VSSADMIN command in Windows 7.

Run Disk Cleanup as Administrator and it'll show if any space is being eaten up by old Windows Updates.
