Need help!!!!

New conroe build was working fine yesterday but when i went to turn it on this morning it was beeping its nuts off. I went straight into bios and it said CPU fan 0RPM!!! 60C and climbing.. pulled power cable straight away... Now when you plug the psu in and switch it on at the back the psu fan pulses as does every other fan on the PC... and thats only with turning the PSU power switch on.
Is the power supply faulty or could it be something else?
I'm away to go get another power supply and try it in, but any help/ideas would be great

EDIT It's a E6400 with a DS4 and Geil RAM and OCZ Modstream 500w psu

i dont know as much as most of the guys on here but that bleeping i think was your motherboard and maybe you have shorted out your powersupply or your atx cable has some how broken and wont power the motherboard only the fans

Go over everything in the case....reseat all cards, make sure all cables are securely in where they should be. If the CPU fan wasnt working, maybe the fan has died and needs replacing...hence why the machine wont turn on because it detects the failure...just a thought
