Hi,

Basically, I am getting freezing problems with Vista.

The system freezes randomly, sometimes coming back, sometimes not.

I am able to move the mouse when it does freeze, and if I bring up task manager, it sometimes makes the system unfreeze. The issue is happening with every program.

I have used memtest and a HD test and all appears well (although the harddrive will tick sometimes before it crashes).

System specs are:

Vista 64
9300 @ 2.5ghz
4MB 1333 Ram
Asus P5QE deluxe
Ati 4870

AVG Free

There are no signs of overheating and all software/BIOS is up to date...

Help!

No surprised with 4MB Ram!!!!


All jokes aside, I had this problem. I tried defrags and uninstalls to no avail. Got so fed up I reinstalled Vista again, and all has been fine.
