Need Help! *Now with pics of finish rig*

Hey all.
So, finally received all my parts from OCuk.

Everything is assembled and put together. all the lights are lit, and the fans a whirring.
But when I hook it up to the monitor I simply get "No signal."

i've tried both Dvi ports. With the GPU screwed in, and not.
Used 1x6pin 1x8pin (1x6+2), and 2x6pin. And even tried using the molex-6pin adapter. Still no joy.
There's a "green" light on the mobo. And the CPU LED is red.

So- where/what, from here? As I amstuck :p

thanks

all identical, aside from the chassis which I had to change to an Antex Df-30

Hi there,

Is this the spec you finally went for?

Have you plugged in both the 24pin and 8 pin power connectors from the PSU to the motherboard?

Is the GPU installed in the top-most PCIE x16 slot?

Which slots did you put the memory in?

Did you install the motherboard on stand-offs/risers or directly onto the case side?

Is the CPU cooler securely fastened to the board and a smal layer of thermal paste between the CPU and heatsink base?

Have you got another monitor/TV you can test it with?

I have only plugged in the 24pin. Do I need to put in the 8pin? :p (I'll throw that in soon as i finsih my dinner.)
GPU is in upper most Pci-e slot.
2x4GB memory is in slots 2 and slot 4.
Straight into the side of the case. But the case already has raisers on it.

CPU cooler is fastened to the board tightly. Used the thermal paste which came with the cpu.
And can test it with another monitor after dinner too.
all the fans are spinning. and things seem ok- but wil ltry those tips ^^

Yes, the EPS12v (8 pin) power supply is essential for supplementary CPU power.

Try also another cable but my suspicion is it's the above as cmdr_andi hinted ;)

Yep. Got her up and running. she's a real beauty. Just installing software and driver and all the jazz.

One of my harddrives isn't showing up. But I'm guessing it's more than likely a cable isn't plugged in. So after next reboot. That's where I'll be looking :p

If the cables (power and data) are plugged in then see if the drive appears in the "Disk Management" snapin. Run "diskmgmt.msc" to start it.

Yeah- It's been so long since I've had a new system. I'm forgetting a lot of the basics. found it in disk management before I even came back here. All up and running smoothly now.

Not just now. I'm in work again. will get my girlfriend to take a few, so I can upload.
Quite pleased. It's fairly quiet when I'm watching a movie/idle. But I can kick the fans up then you can hear it.
I'll run a few benchmarks when I get back home sunday and post a few.

Strange thing. I ran the indexing and got 7.8/7.9 on everything barr HDD(I was transferring loads of data from my old computer), it got 5.9.

After updating the ATI drivers, I got 6.4 gpu. I know indexing doesn't really say much. I just thought it was pretty funny :p
i'm itching to go play some games, but I have to go get the bus to the girlfriends dad's after work. not back till sunday! >.<

Edit- the GPU is *HUGE*. And the cables are pretty messy. Hard to find places to hide them :p

...

Its nothing to worry about, 5.9 is the maximum WEI score for a mechanical hard drive (you would need an SSD to get 7.8) :)

Yeah, 5.9 is good- but it sucks that everything else rocks 7.9 and it scores based on the lowest, instead of an average :p Not that it matters much :D

Cable management needs some work. I'll do that later, after i figure out how to overclock the cpu to 4.0 :P
Ram is set to 1600 mhz :D

Posted links instead of pictures, in case someone doesn't want to get loaded down by them :p
