Need help

Hey guys, I have a main question to ask

Will a Corsair H50-1 (water cooler) fit inside a Antec 300 case ?

At the moment my system is inside a Coolermaster Elite 334 Midi Case.
I know, This is a VERY amateur build and there is NO cable management at all.
everything is Squeezed into this case and i am going to add ram, storage and a bigger case.

Any tips you guys can give me on how to improve this case apart from the obvious bigger case and cable management, Thanks.

• AMD Athlon II X4 Quad Core 640 3.00GHz (Socket AM3)
• Powercool 750w
• Corsair H50-1
• HIS HD 5770 turbo
• Asus M4A77T/USB3 AMD 770 AM3 Motherboard
• Corsair XMS3 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit

Yeh, Good idea on the optical drive positioning.

As for the 100 case its taller than the 300 but the 300 is wider.


and its only £10 difference

do I need hieght or width. Its only about an Each difference, but every inch counts i guess.

Yeh, At time I had already gone over my budget so I just got a cheap one that would power the system. So far its done me well and the only problem I had was that I needed the converter to hook up the mother board.

The problem with thinking like that is the Antec300 is knocking on the door of far superior cases.

In your personal opinion, If you had £60.

would you get the Cooler master or would you get the 300 and pocket the difference ?

I am below my budget for my current upgrade, but if paying an extra £10 saves me buying another case in future then I'm happy with that.

The Antec300 is not a £50 case.

Are you saying that because of its popularity the price has went up ?

Would you say the Coolermaster HAF 912 Plus is a £60 case ?

Then I do believe I have changed my shopping list.

Next upgrade will include a new PSU and I shall switch to SSD.

A modular psu would be benefical, it would reduce the cable clutter.

What do you mean my modular.

I looked it up and apparently i only need 470W to run my pc.

and there aren't any modular PSU's for under £70 <_< lol (on OCuk)

Don't know how I managed to miss those.

I'm trying to work out what cables I need to make my pc run.
These PSUs dont tell you what they have. Is there a standard basic set of cables every psu comes with or am i just being dumb ?

20+4 Pin
1 x 4+4pin CPU +12V
5 x 4pin Molex
2 x 6+2pin PCI-E Power
1 x FDD Power
6 x SATA Power

Can anyone tell me if this is enough to connect and power up my pc ?
