need help!

sorry if this is the wrong section, but I dont know where to put this thread. So basically I just bought all of the parts that I needed to build a new gaming pc, my friend is the one who help me to build my pc, but the problem is, all the parts and cables are messed up. He said he can build it and told me not worry, but I'm disappointed at what the result is. So my question is, does anyone you guys know here in london I can contact a computer service. The one who can come into my house and fix my PC and will be able to do the cable management. BTW I live in east london.

So, it's working fine. It's just a matter of the cables not being tidy?

Don't worry about cable management too much. Why not have a go yourself at tidying it up. Check out some youtube videos etc. Just remember where everything was plugged into, made even easier by the fact that most things can only connect one particular way round.

actually not, we haven't installed the OS yet. But we tried putting it all and plug it into monitor. the first thing I saw was something like this "reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected boot device and press a key" and then turned it off again. He said we will continue it tomorrow. Is it really the first thing you will see when you're building up a new PC? I'm pretty clueless because it's my first time building my own computer.

Yes. Basically the PC is looking what it should be booting from. As there's no OS and you've not got any other bootable devices (for example bootable USB or CD's) then it asks for you to reboot it. So far looks like your OK. Get him to tidy up cables (ideally should be done after you know the system works OK).

Where you are is a normal step in making a pc, don't give up on your friend yet, so far so good.

have the system running make sure all components are working properly then worry bout cable management no point in havin it pretty if it dont work

Oh great. I thought there's something wrong because all he do is put all the cables to their connections without tidying it up. Guess I'll just do it my self and look for some youtube videos. thanks for replying shadow_boxer. I will just leave a reply here to let you know guys if everything works fine.
