My friend has Asrock 970 Extreme3 R2.0 motherboard with 8GB ram it's just a plain generic one's i think they are samsung or kingston dont remember now but he keeps getting BSOD and everytime he gets it it's a different fault error and it's related to his rams so i told him to try and insert the one stick at a time to different ram slot's on the motherboard and what he found was that he gets bsod's with every slot except one on the motherboard so my question is could it be really that the slots on the motherboard are faulty or is it the rams? is there a possibility that the bsod with the memory fault error code is caused by a faulty slot on the motherboard? i'm asking this cause i dont want to be sending the motherboard for RMA only to find out that they say it's working ok any help would be greatly appreciated thx

Sounds like the motherboard is faulty but it would be a good idea to run memtest on the ram. You could also try updating the bios.

yep everything is updated gona try to do the memtest today check if there is anything wrong with the rams just one question how to test all 8gb of rams since memtest gives the pop window that it can do 2gb only or something like that
