im using a asus u7 external soundcard and a fiio e10k amp dac for my AKG712 PRO headphones.
im wanting something better for my headphones what would be best.
im looking at the
Sound Blaster ZxR Sound Card bundle
soundblaster e5 external soundcard.
or the soundblaster x7 external.
would be nice to connect my speakers to it as well.
any help would be great before i buy it now.
thanks in response ;)

just had to cancel the x7 it wont bluetooth to my soundblaster zxr headphones.
now looks like its a choice from the zxr soundcard or the strix 7.1 soundcard, and go without bluetooth to headphones. what is the best out of the 2 cards.

So.. Creative release a product that has Bluetooth, but that will not connect with their own Bluetooth headset? Are you sure?

this is what was said on the creative forum.
The Sound Blaster X7 can't transmit audio signals via Bluetooth to a Bluetooth speaker/headset. It can only receive audio signals and play them onto speakers and headphones. You will not be able to transmit audio via Bluetooth from the X7 to the EVO ZxR.

Creative amaze me they really do. No matter what amount of good features they include with their products, they manage to leave out things that are so obvious to everyone else.

They included separate headphone and speaker connections on the X-Fi Titanium HD, so you could have both headphone and speaker connected simultaneously. Great idea, not having to swap between the two.... Except, you couldn't swap between them in the software, you had to physically remove one for the other to work. :/

They include Bluetooth with this X7, so you can stream from smartphone, etc; but it didn't occur to them to have two way Bluetooth, so people could use their own Bluetooth headsets with the X7; a £300 product. :/

I forget what other stupid things they've done in the past. I feel like sending them an email with a huge derp jpeg.

Not really sure what you should get instead. ZxR and Xonar STX II are both very good. Not sure whether an internal card or an external one would be best.

Creative's E5 DAC/amp looks good. It's got an amp that should be powerful to do the K712's justice, has a line out for speakers, and Bluetooth connection. Whether that's for streaming to the E5, or for headset pairing, I don't know.

i was shocked about the bluetooth as well.

so now looking at the powercolor sound card
the creative zx soundcard
the soundblaster e5.

speakers looking at the creative t3 or some good active speakers like Microlab SOLO8C .

god knows. looks like loads of searching again :(
