need info on upgrade

but erm i still reckon you shud get the GTX 260 and 2mons, ur first priority is Maya so having 2 mons will increase ur productivity by 2 fold tbh

well i have one monitor already 22" and im getting the second one assus 22" so i saved on one monitor i later found out that the 285 would be much better overall using maya than the 260 reason i go for 285 now is the price has dropped which is a suprise,if this 285 will fit then i will get that one unless someone tells me of a better deal.before i forget maya is only a hobbie for me doubt i get famous at it its something i do along my gaming ect

well looks like the i cant have the 285 after all been told that my psu which is a Corsair HX 620W ATX Modular SLI Compliant Power Supply (CMPSU-620HXUK)
would not be good enough so im back on the market yet again :(

Who told you it wouldn't be good enough?

Is it that one? If so, don't listen to whoever told you it isn't good enough. That would easily run a 285, no problems.

Who's told you that:confused: That psu will be more than good enough for a 285

thats the one i web note oc shop chap said this

"Dear rick fowler, That'd be a fantastic card, to add into your current setup. I would however recommend, upgrading your PSU to at least 750W to make sure you've got enough power going into your system, as the 285 is a resource hog...I hope this helps you, and thanks for the web note."

i then thought this gpu was less of a hog the previous cards?

You have a good memory :D
I was wondering which thread :)

Looking around the card is 10.5" long - Assuming I am on the right track with the 285 ;)

Go for it, I purchased the 4870x2 two weeks back (the XFX ONE) and wished I now bought one these :)

No probs, glad to be of some use :)

Unistall the old graphic drivers, it's upto you if want to use driver cleaners ect, I have not bothered in the past and not had any problems. The card uses two ports for power I think there both 6 pin, you will need to connect the second PCI-E power cable to the PSU, once connected up and you should be ready to go :)

Monitor's I am not on the ball with, looking at the reviews it seem's to get a good one.
