just got meself an Asus Sabertooth Z77 and i want to know do i keep my i5 2500k or go i5 3570K ? would i see any diff out of the two with this motherboard? if i go 3570k what would be a good cpu cooler to go for in a coolmaster haf 922

I would keep the 2500K, there is not enough performance difference to justify the outlay for 3570K. If the 2500K is a good clocker (4.6GHz +) it may even be better than most 3570Ks

The only thing of importance that the 3570K + Z77 bring is the PCIe-3 and that is only applicable if you have a PCIe-3 enabled graphics card (600 or 7000 series). Also it makes very little difference in game play 1-2 FPS at most.

pretty much as fire_fly said and looking at your 2500 clock, you would need a 3570 to hit 4.7Ghz to be about the same speed, a lot will do that but you would probably need some very good cooling/water unless you got lucky with your chip.
