Ok going to maybe be upgrading my speakers,hurray!!! (they're over 9 years old) and possibly the onboard sound card.
now i have many ideas and questions to go along with these ideas and hope y'all can answer them fully and more.
First im looking for a 5.1 speaker set and am most leaning towards the Gigaworks G500 as they look very nice and are only just over my price range. The other otion is the I-Trigue 5.1 5600 instead however as my brother has the 2.1 of these speakers i'd rather stay away, but not too bad if i had to as they do look nice.
first im wondering if these sets, mostly the gigaworks, are wired speakers or not? I can clearly see that the remote(?) is not, but none of the speakers have wires coming out of the back, and also there specs say something about frequency response and signal to noise which to me sounds like wireless. but the reason i think they might not be is because i know from past that the picutres could have there wires removed to make them look wireless, not once does it say wirless and if they were im sure they'd say it, and also in the gigaworks specs it says about wire spring clips.
secondly im wondering which one is best for performance and "bang for buck" out of the 2, or even some more un mentioned speakers that are no more then £140.
thirldy what sound card would be good with this? i hear the x-fi is best for games and then general other use. im looking at top top price £35 for this so any suggestions?
fourthly if they are wirless speakers how do you recharge them?
How long if wired are the cables? im obviousoly planning on having them go all round my room.
