I need a video card for my pc, something agp and midrange ish (basically does not have to be fantastic just better than my wretched 6200) but, I need a card that requires no direct power source (eg a card that will be able to draw enough power from the agp slot alone, no additional power connectors, cables etc)
Any Suggestions?

Any reason why it can't be powered by a molex rather than just the slot? Just it will give you a much wider choice if you can just use a splitter on one of your exsisting connectors and power the card that way.

Sorry for slow response, haven't been on net much recently. Reason for card that doesn't require additional power is that I have only a 230 watt delta electronics power supply and cannot find a higher powered replacement for the type of pc that i have.

I think the AGP 6600 cards do need to have an external power connector.

Heck the Radeon 9700 needed an external power connector.

ACESHIGH is correct, the 6600GT does require you hook it up to the PSU.

As your PSU is rated at 230w, a 6600gt would fry it

You say you can't find a suitable PCU for your PC. Can we help you find a new PSU? What special requirements do you have?

Thank you killer uk , I have an Asus T2 AE1 from ocuk, it has a 230w psu which is a non standard shape, it is attached to the machines inside by a type of clip and is not a full size psu as the machine is a mini tower. Any help much appreciated
