Ever since the Steam sales I have been getting back into PC gaming and my 5770 is struggling a little bit on some of the games I am playing.

Dirt 2, Crysis, GTA 4, Mafia 2, BC2 and more...

So I was thinking maybe a second hand GTX480 with a Inno3D i-Chill Hawk Graphics Card Cooler which should come around 200-230. Then sell my 5770 on the MM for 60-70.

But I like to keep my options open so any suggestions? I wouldn't mind trying out PhysX :)

That could be an option but that means sacrificing my Creative X-Fi Titanium sound card :/

My motherboard is quite naft its an Acer FX58M which doesnt support overclocking but fortunately it supports SLI/Crossfire but if I do that my x1/x4 slot will be covered.

Im definitely getting a Coolermaster 690-II lite case and an Antec True Power 650W PSU. Would that PSU handle x2 5850's?

If you can spend up to £250-ish, I would get 2 1GB GTX 460's in SLI. They scale brilliantly, the overclock really well and stomp on a GTX 480. They will even put a 5970 to shame.

Hmmm decisions...

Just read that the GTX560 is being released in 3 days so I will make my decision then.

A 650W PSU might be cutting it a bit close for two GPUs, might be best going to 700/750W to be on the safe side. The 460s do scale very well so that might be worth taking a look at.

Yes, but not modular, the Antec mentioned before would power any single graphics card, and upto 5870 in crossfire, SLI 570/580/470/480 is a no no.

Cheers. but looking at the modular cables on the Antec it only does the PCI-E cables and I am going to use those anyway so I think ill get the higher watt PSU :)

Thanks for the info so far
