I'm doing some ambient tracks at the minute and am looking for some NASA type samples to stick in, think The Orb circa 1992, does anyone know a decent site where I can find this type of thing?

Cheers.

Perfect track: Jon Murphy - Mercury

Such a shame that it's only a minute long, it's beautiful.

Not sure if I've jumped the gun a bit there though.

Can you not use sounds generated through a synth or anything?

I've got synths coming out of my ears mate, that isn't really what I'm after it's more the voices I'm after, radio communication with mission updates etc. Sorry, didn't make that very clear in the OP :)

About 30 seconds in, the voices, that kind of thing, I'm doing the music myself.

If you have a mic and presumably some mixing software, couldn't you make some yourself with some phaser, amp/speaker model sim and crystaliser plugins, that way there'd be no worry about royalties, well if its 'spaceman' style stuff you're after?

I think you'll like some of the stuff here. Various sound packages of radio chatter, pre flight check lists etc in Wav format. ;)

Brilliant, cheers :)

Maybe but I really can't be arsed :) They never sound quite as good as the real thing either. Royalties are unlikely to ever be an issue:D

Dunno, I quite like the effect that can be made yourself, Tarot used some in 'To the skies' for example. Fair play if you dont want to though , Id try and do some for you but I dont have my stuff on my pc atm and cant remember where I put my cubase disc.
