My current card has gone kaputt!! It was a nvidia Gtx 470.

I've not been keeping up with the latest cards so I'm not sure what's what. I was quite happy with the performance of my old card (played sky rim, blops etc), so as I'm on a tight budget I'm looking for the equivalent that's on the market now. Would it be the 650 or the 660?

Thanks

Welcome to the forums. :)

Yeah, the 660 would be the one to go for out of the two you mentioned, though it won't be much of an upgrade. However, if you don't need extra performance, then all well and good.

May I ask what cpu and overclock you have, and also what resolution?

Do you have a decent branded psu?

Budget?

Probably gone, but worth a mention :

Hi, sorry forgot to add those. CPU is an i5 2500 k oc'd to 3.30. PSU is a modular corsair hx620. Screen resolution is 1900x1200. Budget £150. I know its a tight budget. Thanks

Well, the 660ti B grade I listed is probably going to be the best you'll get for exactly that budget.

This is roughly the sort of performance jump you'll see  :

If you want brand new, which I can understand, then I'd suggest either :

The Asus will be quieter than the MSI 7850, though apparently the Asus is a long card. MSI, however, are much better when it comes to after sales support / rma.
