Need new desk!

Does anyone know of any place that would sell a 2meter lengh desk?

just a plain beech effect or maple desk? without breaking rules!

I did think of a Kitchen worktop but I dont like DIY. Anything thats DIY I totally messup

get a local carpenter to do one for you pity you aint closer i know a brilliant carpenter

guys got 50 years in the trade and can knock up anything

quite pricey, the one I like is £205 plus del :eek:

Thats a good idea about a carpenter but I reckon they would charge an arm and a leg to do.

If you can lose 50cm then you can get a simple desk from Ikea 150cm x 75cm.

Vika Amon table top = £21
+
Vika Curry legs = £6.99

£27.99

I have the 120x75 version as my desk.

If you go to Ikea, I managed to get an unlisted desk for £28 - it's 150x75x72 with silver legs. I think they had 200 length ones stacked up as well.

Yep if you play about with the table tops and legs on the website you can probably get the specification you want and for a fraction of the price you would pay elsewhere.

i just got (made

) 2x 1.20m desks - not easy to fit anything bigger in a clio

. gives me 2.40m

worked out cheap too, at about £30/desk with some left over wood for some shelve 'an stuff

Is there a tool on ikeas website that allows to to customise your desk or is it only in the shops?

No tool that I can see but if you click on work area and then click on table tops to pick the one you want then the same for legs.

Ive just had a chat with my uncle and he seems to think that the kitchen worktop might be the best bet for me, cheaper better quality surface. And he said he would help fit it.

A nice solid wood worktop is always my preference. You can pick up a 4 metre one for about £150 if you look around really.
