Dying Light is a good open world zombie-a-thon with various weapons, some driving about (I tend to run about, more dangerous ).

The Forest. A great atmospheric game which just dumps you on an island & doesn't tell you anything.
You can fight the cannibals, monsters etc. Base building, exploring & surviving.

Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines. It's old but it's a brilliant game and still holds up. You can play with either firearms or melee weapons. I've just completed it and went for a melee build - available weapons include, tire irons, axes, swords and severed arms! If you missed this game you won't regret checking it out
