Hi chaps.. After my hd 7970 has given up I find myself with no gpu and no onboard graphics so I need to by one now... After looking through the wide range oc has to offer I have come to the conclusion the r9 290 is for me.. but as I'm such a novice with computers I have no idea which one.. my future plans are to make my pc into my desk so cooling needs to factor in...

My thoughts were from what I have read.. sapphire radion vapour x, tri x or the msi cards...

Can anyone shed some light for me... future upgrades are also 144hz monitor. ..

Thanks on advance

The Sapphire Vapour-X is the best cooler, it also seems the best card of them all, the Tri-X is also a good card, i'm not so sure about the MSI cards, they have had batches with broken fans causing the GPU's to overheat, fans to leak oil and seize.

So i think the first two are the best bet, the Vapour-X if you want a fancy one with a custom PCB, the Tri-X for a reference PCB with a nice cooler
