I was on toucan bb for over a year with no problems. They were recently bought out by pipex bb and ever since I have been getting absolutly **** connection speeds. I'm paying £15/month for up to 8mb. I used to get a reasonable 6.7mb dl speed when I first signed up. Now... I don't even get 0.5mb dl speed!

I can't stay signed into live messenger its so poor. I can't stream video from youtube/bbc. I'm sick and tired of it.

So I'm looking for a new ISP, problem is I may be moving at the end of June so I want a reliable ISP without a 12 month contract. I'm happy with a 4 or maybe 6 month contract but I don't want to pay for longer without knowing if I am staying or not.

Suggestions?

Star it out completely.

Why not just read down a couple of posts or look in the 30 other threads about this in the last couple of pages.

Not trying to have a go here but seriously, every other post is about 'what ISP should I go with'.

Maybe a Don could make a sticky (or update the existing one a little) with what is generally considered good advice about the current list of popular ISPs?

Rant over.

If you can get LLU Be could be good, 3 month contract from Be.

After that you need to just use a BTWS provider, my vote would be Zen if you dont mind the price / usage caps. Or if you can put up with the slowdowns at the moment Enta are pretty cheap.

Sorry, nothing was mentioned about shorter than 12 month contracts in particular. HENCE i created a new thread. I did read others...

There's a link to ADSLGuide/ThinkBroadband there already.

Most offer <12 month contract terms - most of the ones mentioned on here lately (AAISP, Enta, Zen, Be) all offer that...
