Hey, well some of you might have noticed i posted before to say that i had found a water proof keyboard after i spilt a pint over water over it drunk.

However last night after coming back from the pub i appear to have poured a bottle of water over it instead and fallen asleep on it. One of the two or maybe both killed it.

To cut a long story short, the sailtek eclipse is not drunk proof and i need a new keyboard.

Now i dont have the desk space for a really long keyboard, so the g15 etc is out of the question. I dont really have a budget, just what ever is good and i have no real need for macro keys but i do want volume keys on it. I was looking at this keyboard :

Keysonic ACK-5600 Intuition XL Keyboard

But im unsure as to what it would really be like to game on laptop keyboards. What do you guys think or suggest?

I have a Razer Tarantula, which is a fantastic keyboard and is around 53 quid on Overclockers. However it is quite a long keyboard so I doubt you'll be wanting that.

I'm not sure as to how big these are, but they are very nice by the looks of things, have had great reviews, they look fantastic, and it has all your media keys including volume control in the upper right corner using a touch screen panel. They are also perfect for gaming.

Razer Arctosa Keyboard Black/Silver

I would post links to the Razer website for descriptions of the keyboards however Razer manufacture and sell them so I think it may be classed as a competitor lol. Anyway you have Google :)

yeah i have been looking at theese, i might google their lengths. the tarantula i was going to get orginaly but it was definitly too long.

That it is but i love this thing. I have had many Razer products in the past, they never fail to disappoint (I'm not a fan boy I just recognise quality when I see it ;)) This keyboard cost me 77 quid when I first bought it, can't believe how cheap they are going for now!

Thats your opinion. However I have been through many keyboards/mice. I will never go back to having a cheap mouse/keyboard after purchasing these.

Thanks very much vortx, i may just be able to fit the smaller razers. I shall look into it . Will go well with my death adder ;)

and tht sidewinder keyboard looks intresting but i dont really have a use for macros as i dont play mmo's.

who said i was buying it to improve my skill? Maybe i just like to use well made things and like the perks that come with them usualy? Also i dont consider FEAR MP to be the pinical of defining your skill or the quality of the hardware you use.

Logitech G15 v2, is a lot smaller then the original G15. I think I saw it on OCUK for a mere £44.95 last week to.

does anyone know if the ocz illuminati keyboard ios any good i know overclockers stopped selling them btu i like ther look of ti i would use it for gaming so does it ahvea any advantages that way?

By the looks of things the Arctosa is the same as the Lycosa, except the Lycosa has illuminated keys, the Artosa has painted on keys. The Lycosa also has a USB/headphone/microphone jack, the Arctosa has none.

This is just from a breif look at the keyboards though.

yeah i ordered the arctosa, couldn';t justify the price of the lycosa seens as i could see no real differences. However i hope those keys dont rub off becuse mysaitek one did that. i mean i know where all the keys are anyway but its just a silly design floor.
