Need new Logic board.

My sons iphone 4 has a "blue coil fuse broke" so he was told.
I can replace the logic board, if I new were to get one, any ideas

you can get them off the bay, but they arent cheap.

Have you tried apple? They are normally very good with replacing handsets, even out of warranty.

If it's a coil or fuse you can always bridge it with solder.

no point buying a logic board, would be better to just get a second hand phone. Go to apple, see if they are generous. If not, have a go at the soldering - nothing to loose really. If it doesn't work, just send it away for recycling using the apple recycle program or cex and put the money towards a new handset.

You've got nothing to lose, I wouldn't go spending out on equipment if you don't already have access to it somewhere. I'd take that 'blue coil fuse' fault with a pinch of salt

Had a look on youtube and it looks a very delicate job to do
