Hi,
I just dropped my "dumb" mobile phone down the toilet and now it doesnt work.
I need another phone immediately.
Can i just go to an EE shop, buy a new phone, and put the sim card into it and its job done?

Its not a smartphone, just a dumbphone and i only want another dumbphone.

Thanks, the Argos onces are not useful because either they are...
1...Smartphones
2....Locked to a provider eg vodafone (i am with EE)
3..Have the wrong SIM card size.

...Or can i go into an EE shop and ask them to chage the SIM to the right size ? (i have an account with EE)

Also, i am not Sure if i should get a 2G or 4G phone?....my now_dead phone was a Alcatel 2057D

Thanks, the phone has strangeley started working again...but i really need it not to fail next week, as i have contractor agencies ringing up.....so can i buy a new dumbphone and just get another EE sim card and just not fit it until this phone breaks down again? (which i suspect it will)

So in other words, i am wishing to have a "reserve phone", ready to use if this phone suddenly stops working. (but obviously i want it on the same EE account as my "now dry" phone.)
Is this possible? ie, Can you just get another duplicate SIM for this purpose? Sorry , but it seems such a strange thing to explain as its so open to misinterpretation due to my poor words, i must apologise.

Thanks, but dumbphones can be tracked....i am regularly tracked by a representative of a company that i used to work for.

You dont believe that dumbphone's can be tracked?
I thought it was common knowledge.
Or should i say....i know its a fact, from experience.

A certain individual would like me to do some work for them,
and be stuck working for them for very low pay for a very long time.
That i know. The individual who i regularly see is an associate of that person.
I see them most regularly in London, but occasionally other places too...
The only way they could be tracking me is by the dumbphone.

Regarding accuracy, if someones dumbphone is seen to be somewhere near waterloo station for a half hour or so every thursday evening, then a walk round that station, visiting the coffee shops etc, will pretty quickly get you to locate the person.
Same with say a motorway service station....i used to visit a motorway service station straight after work on wednesdays.......i guess they would have noted i was kind of around there and guessed that i was at that service station (eg rather than in the fields around the service station) ...it then doesnt take them long to walk round the services and find someone....so it doesnt need to be terribly accurate to enable someone to find somoeone. So a dumbphone can easily be used to track someone.

A dumbphone tracker can track someone to the nearest phone mast, and phone masts are very close together in london...so a dumbphone tracker can be pretty well accurate. If someone you know with a dumbphone is sat in starbucks in Liverpool street station for an hour, you will quickly find them with a dumbphone tracker.

Regularly Turning up near to someone, without going right up to them , to check them out, isnt illegal i guess.
Why Going to the trouble?....I have a certain skill which they want.
In a kind of indirect way, they can make a lot of money out of my skill.
The clue is that they are a middleman.
They are a big importer.
When you are an importer it doesnt half help improve your import credentials if you are able to produce a little bit of what you are importing locally aswell.....this gives you the "master" credential of the product line...and people will think you really know about the product, and thus will be worthy of placing massive import orders with.

Supposing (purely for example) you are an enormous multinational office block owner, and you want to fit lighting in all of the office blocks.....thats a lot of lighting you will want to buy.....so you dont just want to import it from any jack-the-lad middleman type who says he/she can get you whatever you want for cheap....you want to be sure its pretty good quality aswell......so you place your import order with someone who is not only a middleman...but also looks as if they know how to design/manufacture a light/lamp themselves too.

The money to be made from middle-manning such stuff in is quite utterly colossal!......they can well easily afford to pay someone to "check someone out" from time to time.

I cant say on here....but just think of the things that UK imports in large numbers.
You probably wont know, the whole import industry goes on in the shadows. Its kept very quiet.
Almost an underground type of operation.
A lot of companies in UK look like bona fide companies...but they are really just token companies.....just a shell.....overlying the "backroom" import operation thats going on well behind the scenes. Likely under a different company name than the "shell" company that gets used to attract the customers forward.
