Need new PC

My PSU in main PC blew on Friday spent most of Saturday part swapping with spare PC to find that mobo has died with it not sure about other parts so will need a complete new build..

I have a few options in mind budget is between 600 - 800 need to upgrade from what I had previously (i5+660)

need one of the following:

i5 + 960
i5 + 970
i7 + 960
i7 + 970

Parts needed:

CPU
GPU
HDD (1 TB or 2 TB)
RAM (8 GB or 16 GB)
MOBO
PSU (was looking at the Corsair 750w noticed it only had a single rail is that bad?)
DVD rw
New case (want one that fits PSU at the top of case and the HDD fits in sideways)
HSF (something like the Arctic freezer 7 or better)

This is an upgrade/replacement build anyone interested in what the PSU was that failed it was a 630w BeQuiet PSU but I have had is since 2012 without fault so it wasn't really 'bad' but did kill my parts..

EDIT: Good news just tried the GTX660 in my spare pc (what I am using now) and it survived, still want a new GPU though

Tested on ETS2 getting around 40 FPS. Specs are below I will use spoiler tags to keep this thread neat..

Trying to avoid AMD gpu's the temptation to cryptomine with it maybe too great and I may end up frying it

So is it always better to buy a bundle on CPU+MOBO or would choosing a cheaper board be a better option?

Been looking at the i7 Devil canyon 4 GHz it looks very tempting but is there much advantage of buying a >£100 MOBO for it?

OK the case isn't really important I have a Zalmon case which does have the PSU at bottom but it has the side slotting HDD bays which I like so I will just reuse that..

Don't want to spend no more then £70 on a PSU really and im not really ready for SSD drives yet

with savings in those areas would it be worth spending more to get the i7 bundle and maybe use cheaper 1600 RAM?

Opened up old PSU to see if I could find anything, nothing really stands out apart from a black cover on one of the chokes is pealed up and stuck to the heatsink, not sure if this is what caused the failure..

Few Changes of plan...

This is my basket, no longer looking for case, GPU HSF and DVD-rw I am getting from elsewhere

Total of both baskets comes to £848

any final changes I should make to listed parts Before I order?

Little problem with my order...

The email shows the correct value but this is on outstanding orders page, should I be worried?
