Need new power supply

Hey guys,

Been having some problems with my power supply recently, basically sometimes it wont charge the laptop and the little green light doesn't turn on until I wiggle the cables around a little.

Anyway, yesterday it started making a weird beeping noise when plugged in , don't really know how to describe it but it wasn't a good noise.

So I'm in need of a new power supply, does anyone know where I can get one from? I don't want to be spending loads of money but would rather get one off a site with a good reputation.

Wiggling the cable will lead to damaging the socket, shortly followed by needing to solder a new one in its place.

We cant recommend competitors, and pretty much anywhere selling an ac adapter is going to be a competitor. See the faq. Expect to pay roughly £40 for a genuine one, or £20 for a cheap knock off. The cheap ones don't last as long.

We can't recommend competitors but we can mention brands. Take a google at Targus - I can't vouch for them but I know they make laptop accessories to include PSUs.

Sorry, wasn't aware you couldn't recommend competitors.

Anyway, it completely packed it in yesterday so I ordered another one for £30, hopefully shouldn't be a cheap knockoff . . .

Thought it was best to be on the safe side, don't want my laptop exploding lol.
