I plan to do some heavy upgrades. My current rig:
i7 930
5850
6GB DDR3
2 x 1TB WD caviar black
Silverstone TJ07 and ST75F 750W PSU

I plan to O/C my i7 to 4ghz atleast, get two SSD's, get a 6970 - maybe xfire later and i also want a 480 rad with a 240 rad to watercool my system. I have been looking at 1200w PSU's as i would prefer not to get a new PSU for some time whilst still upgrading my graphics. Which PSU would you recommend(i need it by this week) and which brand? I want the cheapest 1200W from a brand that is reliable/trustworthy. ATM i am looking at the Coolermaster, Be quiet and Corsair PSU's.

Thanks in advance

Do you think that could actually support ALL of my planned upgrades AND last 2+ years?

yep.

The new ATI cards are much more power friendly than a Nvidia equivalent.

That PSU will power a top end Intel i7 with dual GTX480 in sli, and as you may know, GTX480 eat watts.

The GTX580 is more power efficient than a GTX480 and I fully expect the soon to be released ATI 6*** cards to be better still, comparing a 6850 vs GTX460 and 6870 vs GTX470 shows this.

So does the 80plus rating matter much between silver and Gold. Coolermaster have a gold rated 1KW PSU for £148 from a major OCUK competitor. DO you know if they are reliable?

Depends on the price difference between silver and gold rated psu, and how long your going to keep it, and how many hours a day you use your pc for the more expensive gold psu to pay itself back, if that makes sense?

Do the coolermasters have a 5 year warranty? 2 etailers say it's 1 year, coolermaster says it is 5. For the coolermaster PSU's, what do you do with the non modular cables - just leave them hanging?

So 24 pin, 8 pin etc. Space will probably be an issue as it will have a 240 rad right next to it! Thanks for all the help, i will probably go for the coolermaster but am still open to suggetions.
