Hi guys,

I'm need to get an better router that will support my gaming and live steaming at an good rate speed with no high ping that will kick though without no delay. At the moment I'm using Technicolor TG588v that was free with the company that I went with.

It's alright but it's not great with steaming. I looked around and I sen some great Routers that I like however it's costly, the one that has the new MU- something technology that has 8 antenna.

Looking under £200 for an good one that will do for now, As for an modem I might leave it for now unless you guys have an options on one.

Thanks

Will you be connecting all machines via network cable?
What speed is your internet?
Just the one machine to the network cable that is my desktop since network cable is faster then WiFi (my desktop has built in WiFi on it's motherboard). Up to 16 Mbps download speed with my standard plain and the next upgrade offer is 38 Mbps.

Done an speed test and it's crap, the upload speed was like 0.84  and download is 11. sucks

Sounds to me like you need to upgrade your service. Have you checked what the top speed is available in your area?

And go cable not wireless.

If you go with BT or Plusnet their fibre router is pretty decent, do you not have a say in which ISP to go with? TalkTalk's router is... poor.

What are you paying if you don't mind me asking? Is it worth moving provider?
At the moment it's £9 A month for 16 Mbps next price up is like £14.99 per month plus line rental and that's for Up to 38 Mbps download speed

Just to keep in mind that I went thought with utility warehouse that has all in one. https://www.utilitywarehouse.co.uk/services/phoneandbroadband/broadband

This looks like a bog standard ADSL line, Upload speeds a terrible on ADSL. If you go FTTC then you may get much better upload.

Don't bother streaming on your current line, and changing routers will not help this

Upload speeds a very terrible and yesterday it went down 2 times so I had to reset it again. ADSL line is different in Australia, not by much but more reliable and since I be moving to another house in the next 3 weeks then I will look into BT fibre optiv plains or even sky also.

Glad that it's available in that location
