2.0 for £60?

If you have an old amp somewhere then I would recommend getting some second hand Hi-Fi speakers, such as Wharfdale Diamond 9s or Tannoy m1s.

If not then the Logitech Z10 and Creative T20 are supposed to be ok.

I too need speakers

For my HTPC- I currently have an old Denon valve amp and 2 speakers.

I have seen a posting on this site about the Aego M 2.1 and they look good, but I have also seen a second hand ad in my local for the Acoustic Energy Aego P5 Mk 1 home cinema speakers, old, but get good reviews and £60!!!

Now the M series are designed for an ipod, but come with very good reviews for the sound quality and mean that I can use my motherboard sound card.
The Aego P5 are old, but also good reviews but mean that I will have to get a souncard as they have the following inputs

Analog Audio x 1, Digital Audio (Coaxial) x 1, Digital Audio (Optical) x 1
If I am going to go to 5:1 am I better off getting some logitechs as I understand that they do wireless rear speakers, and for a medium sized room will I really notice the difference between 5.1 vs 2.1 based on the fact that as my current set up is ***p anything will be an improvement...
