After fixing the wiper linkage on my sister fiat punto that kept falling off, somehow i've managed to crack the windscreen in the corner proberly by taking the plastic cover off or hitting it or something.

As im going to pay for this myself, who would you recommend, as my sister only 3rd party fire & theft.

As it only a standard Punto with no front heated window or anything how much would i be looking to shell out on a replacement windscreen.

That what i've had to do, because the driver side one has fell off, and with trying to get the plastic cover back on which is akward as hell that sits on the windscreen gone and bloody cracked it :(

I've managed to pick up a brand new wiper motor & linkage cheap as the wiper motor itself is on it last legs to, god i really hate this car of my sis as it nothing but trouble but she won't get shut of it.

windscreen cover is normally on all TPFT and FC policies :)

double check the cert

No it isn't i'mafraid.

I had to pay extra for windscreen cover for all my TPFT policies. One or two might include it but most don't. Well worth the extra £30ish though.

Well obv my brother is wrong then seeing as he's a fully trained and accredited insurance account handler :)

All Swiftcover and AXA Direct TPFT policies don't only the FC do. So I would assume he is making a sweeping generalisation.

Just be thankfull its not a 'special' windscreen. I was quoted £375 for my 306 but that had rain sensitive wipers and anti-UV coating. Ended up being done under FC insurance, but I waited till the insurance was up for renewal (didn't use the car in the mean time).
