I need an advice on the case guys ? I need it for the DAW that i'm building.

Got a few choices: Antec, Thermaltake..
Not sure really .. what can you suggest guys? I want to overclock it to the limit as well so potentially I'm thinking abut getting it water cooled.
Is it Thermaltake then ?
Also I need a quiet PSU, since I don't think I'll be running SLI I was thinking about smth in the range 500W Will that be enough ?

The specs I have in mind are:
E6600
Asus P5W DH
2Gb Corsair Dominator PC6400
HIS x1950xt 256Mb

thanks in advance :)

thanks guys, I really appreciate your help :)

Budget is not a very big problem, but I don't want to splash lots of money on something fancy and expensive of course

I was thinknig about getting this one
QTechnology Ultra-Quiet ATX PSU 560W, 120mm dustproof fan
but
Seasonic S12 500W Silent ATX2.0 Power Supply and
Tagan TG580-U15 580W ATX2.01 Easycon SLi Compliant Modular Silent PSU seem to be very good too

As for the case
Antec 900 looks quite interesting, good reviews on it as well
Akasa Eclipse 62 seems ok, but from what i gathered it needs all the system fans to be added also

What about Thermaltake VA8003SWA Aluminium as I'm thinking of getting a water cooling system too.
Would an integrated case + water cooling like Thermaltake VE2000BWS Armour be a good solution or is it a waste of money ? may be I should get a separate water cooling system and install on one of those cases you mentioned. And is it going to be quiet enough?

QTechnology and Q-Tec are not the same as fas as I know...

"It has come to our attention that another company called “Q-Tec” has recently entered the market and is causing confusion by offering low cost PSUs in competition with QTechnology. Please be certain that neither QTechnology nor Quiet PC have any connection whatsoever with Q-Tec. We know several instances of customer being disappointed with the quality and noise level of Q-Tec PSUs only to find out later that the product they had bought was not made by QTechnology. If you are not buying directly from Quiet PC, please make sure you know what you are buying, and if the price seems too good to be true, it probably is! To add further to the confusion, we now find that there is a third company calling themselves Qtech who have started offering pre-built PCs. Again, our position is that we have no association with them."

anyway. I'll go for one of those PSUs you suggested

thanks a lot. yeah it's about 100 quid. Sorry if i may sound stupid cause i'm totally new to watercooling, but do i need anything else if I buy Alphacool Cool Answer III 120 Compact 12V Liquid Cooling Kit that includes

1x Alphacool NexXxoS Xtreme I radiator
1x Alphacool CPU cooler NexXxoS XP light Universal, incl. mountings for AMD XP, AMD 64 and Opteron, Intel 478 and Socket 775
1x pump universal mounting
1x Alphacool Eheim Station 600 12V incl. reservoir Tubing: 11/8mm transparent
1x 120mm fan
Connections: screw connections
1x thermal compound

cool ! i'm going to order AS5 as well then. I'm going to Acasa Eclipse thats decided. If i get that watercooling then I will still need one system 120mm quiet fan, am i right ? I read some reviews and i think i might go for Scythe S-FLEX 1200 S-FDB

I ordered the standard Alphacool Cool Answer III to find that it won't fit in my Akasa 62 Eclipse. grrrr. that panel that has all expansion slots clusures obstructs it from fitting properly in place of the back system fan...very dissapointed :( Has anyone tried this watercooling system in their Akasas ?

Yes. It fitted in mine. Have you tried turning the radiator round on the supports? What way up did you mount it? Remember that you are probably fitting it with the case on it's side, so the pump will be on it's side when you fit it. That means the 'lump' in the radiator will be nearest the wheels in the case or the expansion slots in the motherboard, but it doesn't have to be. I just hope to **** they haven't changed the radiator.

fitting it exatly like on this picture, the two hoses go in the bottom of the radiator. Thats the way it should be i would imagine, otherwise the waterflow in the radiator will be buggered. no ? so you're saying i can turn it around the way i want? i was trying to fit it so the lumps of the radiator face the bottom of the case (in it's normal vertical position)

I was even thinking of detaching the pump and fitting the radiator and fan on the outside of the case and leaving the pump inside but that needed a bit of work also so i decided to leave it:)
gonna try to fit it today , i'll turn the radiator 90 degrees.
thanks for all your help, i'll let you know about the outcome :)

P.S. How did you fit your radiator then? If you have the same case and the same cool answer III then you must've had the same problem

i was a bit concerned when i received it, the radiator mesh was slightly damaged (nothing serious), there was a bit of rust on the radiator and the frame, and some white deposits (like white flakes) within the system. It didn't look like something you would pay a hundred quid for  . May be i really should return it and get it elsewhere...
the circuitry on mine just hangs of it on a long wire, it's a little PCI card

correct. i have Eclipse 62
what WJA96 was saying is that it might be an old model or something...he said he built a few already with the same case/water cooling kit...

I've never returned anything under DSR. That's what they say on their site
"Under the Distance Selling Regulations you have a 7 working day cooling-off period starting from the day after receipt to cancel the order for all retail mail order transactions excluding trade/business transactions, all computers and items specifically built/assembled for you, delivery charges*, unsealed software or movies and perishable items."

Do I have to give them good reasons for return or "it doesn't fit" will be enough ?

sweet.. i'l do that then.. but the problem is still there, i want a decent water cooling system for my eclipse 62  do you reckon if I buy cool answer from somewhere else i'll get another model that'll actually fit?

right. i returned the Cool Answer III. they haven't refunded me the money yet but i'll be ok i think. thanks for all your advices and support, much appreciate it#

I still need water cooling though  what and where do i buy ?
Cool Andswer seems to a good option
i have eclipse 62 btw
thanks
