My partner has inherited this ring and we've been trying to find out about the make of the ring and possible value. We can't find anything online with the possible name 'Saphena' or similar. She thinks it's from around 50s/60s but can't be 100% sure.

The writing below in the box says 'of Regent Street' and 'your keepsake forever'

If anyone has any ideas on the make it would be much appreciated!

Saphena appears to be a trade name of Signet Jewellers Ltd.

Might be worth dropping into an Ernest Jones shop and see if they can tell you more. Doesn't look like signet trades as Saphena anymore.

Closest match I can see to the ring in the pic;

Can't read prices on it though.

Edit: cleaner version

Assuming similar pricing it could be worth ~£700 now(adjusting the dollar amount for inflation and converting to pounds. Could be well out).

Wow quick reply! Thank you very much for finding that out. Would Ernest Jones be the best bet to try and get it valued?

I have no idea but they appear to be one of the relevant linked companies.

Kay Jewelers, Zales, Jared The Galleria Of Jewelry, H.Samuel, Ernest Jones, Peoples and Piercing Pagoda

I've only heard of two on that list but my experience with selling rings is limited to nill sorry :D.
