New user here, my first time trying to build Compact HTPC - gaming PC.
plan is to connect it to my Tv to use for console steam gaming.

And then also to use it as my Music production computer. Thats the reason for the high amount of SSD.
I was planning to get in total space 1 TB / split up on 2-3 discs with 2 of them being 500 gb / one of them M2sata and one Samsung Evo 840 pro with 256 gb. - Would Corsair 250d fit that? / Ram i am good at settling with 16 gb and Processor Rendering so the i7 is a must.

so with that in mind . i assume the limit is to have a 2 slot Graphic card i got a old 2 gb msi 770 twin frozr i was thinking to use but also thinking about upgrading to 980 ram is it to early would it fit, also would that fit in the Corsair 250d???

Okay so i was planning to go M2-sata either the new Samsung 500 gb or Crucial 250 gb. i need a stable solution anyone heard any problem with the Samsung 850? compared to all the issues with 840.

I would like to know how easy it would be to build it on my own or i could get Overclockers to build it for me what would you advice??

i have build 3 pc's before so not complete noob but not that comfortable i would make my own custom water cooling. with that in mind i would like to know if h100i from corsair is the best. or there would be other ways to add a closed cooling solution.

Thank you all for your help...

I had a slight moment of deja vu reading this thread, as I posted a very similar one a couple of months ago with an almost identical specification.

Corsair 250D is a lovely case, you've easily got space for 2x 3.5" and 2x 2.5", I went for a pair of Samsung 850 Evo drives in raid 0 for my primary, and my existing pair of Seagate 1TB drives in raid 0 for storage.

I'm not sure about the MSI 980, I ended up going with the OCUK reference model as I was a little concerned about the width of the cooler on the aftermarket model, certainly the length is not an issue, and you've even got a little bit of space if it reaches over the dual slot, but i'm not sure on width, someone else might have more idea.

Building into the case wasn't an issue, it was a little awkward building around the 100i, as it does take up a lot of space, but with the Gaming ACK it does fit without cause for concern, and with my i5 4690K oc'ed to 4.4GHz it just about hits the 70 degree mark while benchmarking, and that's in silent mode, too.. I suspect it would be a little cooler if i'd used some aftermarket thermal paste, but I wanted to try the stock stuff just to see what it was like.

All in all, it should be a nice build, I took my time over it as it's been a few years since I last put together a full system it was a little bit fiddly at times but I encountered no major issues, you'll probably want a few cable ties on hand just to keep everything managed nicely.

Thanks for the quick response, I guess i was most afraid of the WaterCooling.

cheers for the help. i might have a few other questions later on :)
but seeing i am planning to order the PC this week at latest then i am kind of in a hurry Glad those equipments would work.

The only change I would probably make would be to swap the RAM, get the HyperX Savage instead of the Beast, it's the same spec and price, but it's got a lower profile which might give you a little more space to work with.
