Hey guys i am buying rig components and i was wondering if i should get a i7 4770k cpu or a i7 4771.

i am not entirely what to do i could wait another 2 weeks and try sort this out and get a cpu overclocked since i dont know how to do it myself and it would be a little more expensive, or have a safe stable longer lifespan and not go for a i7k series,

someone said it would be bottlenecking my GPU which is a msi gtx 780 lightning if i dont get a overclocked cpu so what shall i do guys.. what would you do

The k won't be any less stable or have a shorter life if you overclock it properly. Go with the k version and a z87 motherboard, then there are plenty of videos and guides to tell you how to overclock that particular cpu and motherboard. If you get stuck you can always ask on here. I'm presuming your going to overclock your gpu if you got a lightning, so it would be best to overclock your cpu so it can keep ahead, though i don't think it would be much of a bottleneck at stock.

my cpu i think i will be getting is the i7 4771 @ 3.50ghz, this should not really bottleneck the GPU at overclock standard should it?

Hey ollie, just get the 4770k(OEM) and a decent mobo. The difference in price is worth it, especially as you don`t need to spend £200 on a mobo, when a £130+ will do the same job.
You don`t have to OC it straight away. When you have it all up and running, then do a little research on overclocking guides on the mobo you choose and the 4770k. Familarise yourself with the bios, have a little tinkle about. You can also open a thread in the Overclocking forum, plenty of guys in there who will be happy to assist.
You can get a decent OC without having to make to many adjustments.
