Need P4 plug and socket

As the title says.

Its the 12v aux connectors, i need a plug and a socket to make an extension. I dont want to cut the corsairs power cable and resolder an extra foot on to it, coz im guessing that would invalidate my warranty. I have the cable, pinched a couple of foot from work. Does anyone have the correct name so i can find it in an electrical website (RS)? Or can someone point me in the right direction? I need both the plug and the socket.

Are talking about the 12v/5v 4pin connectors, they are called molex

or are you talking about the 2x2 plug which plugs into the mobo (along with your 20/24 pin plug)?

Yep, its the 2x2 that plugs into mobo for the cpu. Molex is the brand name, but applies to the drive/fan plugs.

The 4x pin for the CPU you mean, they are called 4 Pin 12v P 4 Extension PC Power Cable, can't tell you where to get them though as they'll be a competitor, but you now have the name of em.

Im just after the plugs and sockets, since i want to route it a particular way around my case and braid the cables. Especially since the extensions are quite expensive (I can buy a 5m 240v extension from asda for less than a 200mm cable). Unfortunately, im having difficulty finding them. I can find normal molex plugs; floppy plugs; atx connectors; at connectors; but cannot find the P4 12v connectors. I was hoping someone has looked for them in the past (and found them). Ive looked through RS online, but difficult to use their online catalogue as the descriptions are crap. Might just have to buy an extension.

have u not got an old psu u can use?
failing that buy a qtec from an auction site they go for next to nothing and have all the connectors on em

Got myself one of these. It was actually cheaper to order it from america and have it flown in a PLANE that to get it in the UK. cost $14 including shipping. Its braided, and its black. FAR superior to the ones available in the UK.
