Okay, i've just upgraded my CPU, RAM and mobo.
After freshly installing vista
i only installed anti-virus, cod 4, and all the drivers.
While playing any game it just restarts after about 30 minutes.

I've disabled automatic restarts hoping i could get some info from the bs, but no blue screen - just restarts.
only rly during gaming, i can have it on all day fine and then open up a game and its gone.
I've stripped it down, checked the thermal paste, most of the temperatures are fine - prly not overheating.

All the other componants have been working together for six months, fine.
I though it might have been vista causing the problem so went back to xp but it still did it.
I can't be a virus because i've not touched the internet (apart from updates) from a new os.
As i had a low quality PSU i replaced it with a 550w antec trio, which is powering a 1 hdd, quad core, 3 fans, and an 8800 so underpowering and faulty PSU are out tbh.

I've done a memory test - all seccessful.
I tryed a full system reliability test and it blue screened - couldn't see what it said.
Also theres a lot of freezing and hanging just opening cp or my network.

Please can anyone help?
Cheers.

I agree with the above, but I'd definately check the temps with coretemp, everest or something reliable. Also, i'd try another PSU in there. Yours could be flaking out, and the power cutting out could give similar symptoms to what you are experiencing. I wouldn't rule a graphics issue out but i'd suspect that after testing the above.

Have you checked your event logs??
