I've been in CAD (AutoCAD and Inventor) now for about 23 years, and I've used various pointing devices to aid me in my drawings and Models.
My current weapon is a very aged Microsoft Trackball Explorer, which seems to have developed a fault, When using the scroll wheel (to zoom and pan etc) it will either zoom me in as far as possible or out as far as possible in one rotation of the wheel (also when scrolling in Chrome etc it jumps up and down from top to bottom constantly)
So I'm in the market for a New pointing device!
My main stipulations are:
Wired (getting annoyed with replacing batteries on my home Mouse!),
Decent Size and Weight (I have big hands!)
Comfort and ergonomics, due to using it 8+ hours a day!
Programmable buttons (at least 5)
Decent dpi (adjustable would be a bonus, but as I'm not a gamer, so not a front runner!).
Budget (upto) £50ish
I may need 2 of them, as I also work from home 2 days a week and want to replace my crappy little Logitech thing I have there too! so under the £50 (each) would be great!
All (relevant/sensible) suggestions welcome
