After spending a week overclocking my 4770k im still having some problems. i used these settings.

Multiplier= 45x
Core Volts= 1.34V
Min Cache ratio= 42x
Max Cache ratio= 42x
Ring Voltage= 1.18V
CPU Initial input voltage = 1.8V
All c states and EIST= disabled
BCLK= Auto

In batman arkham city everything maxed out this overclock ran fine(played for an hour), max temps around 55-60 degrees C. On idle in windows its around 32 degrees C. I have noticed one RTS game i play is jittery but i dont know if its overclock related.

Another problem im having is when i switch my pc on it shuts down after 4 seconds then turns on again after which it runs fine. Also when i shut down it sometimes reboots instead. So what do you think i need to do to my overclock. Im using the asus gene z87 board. Cheers

Edit: no it isnt 3.4V its 1.34V

Games can be hard to pin down stability wise with oc's tbh. Playing for an hour or so on a good cpu demanding game such as crysis 3 or bf4 though are good indicators of a stable setup. Regarding your turn on issue, are you by any chance turning your system off at the wall after you shutdown via windows? If so this is entirely normal on asus motherboard based systems. It's a boot test thing. Cant remember the exact details of the response i got when i asked on the asus forums a few years ago. But in s775 skt days it was a boot strap check and was totally normal.

Yes but sometimes it reboots instead of shutting down as well, im going to take out and re-insert my cmos chip and also reflash the bios and start again. see if that fixes the problem
