need ps2 ports to work in osx for login

So what Mac are you trying to log into that has PS2 ports? I'm not assuming anything and I don't know whether Macs have ever had them or not, I'm just interested.

I don't know. I think its an old iMac. Remember those plastic different coloured things? Its a really old one at the printers where I sometimes work. Owner asked me to see if I could get it working. I assumed it would have a ps/2 port? Maybe it doesn't.

That's got to be a Hackintosh...

Talks not allowed about them and if it is then shame on you.

whats wrong with a hackmac?

i purchased the OSX disc, it doesnt say that it cant be installed on non apple hardware untill you have installed it and entered you details, then it asks for you to accept the EULA.

It's not an argument we're going to get into here, installing OS X on non Apple hardware is against the EULA and therefore you can't discuss it. Please see here.

Sounds like an imac g3 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IMac_G3

They only have usb (apple setting a trend of getting rid of outdated connections like ps2)

The iMac was the first legacy-free Macintosh therefore was was USB only.

Older Macs had ADB ports for the keyboard and mouse. Mac's never used PS/2 - it was an IBM standard developed for the PC of the same name.
