Need PSU 4 pin to molex adapter...

My Dell Optiplex 960's PSU has a spare DC P7 4-pin (female) connector and I think I need to connect this to a newly bought USB 3.0 PCI Card to get the true USB 3.0 speeds (as it is giving me slightly less than USB 2.0 right now).

The card has a typical and standard molex (male) connection port.

Does anyone know where I can get hold of an adapter like this?

Thanks.

Not sure exactly what connector you are talking about. What shape is this connector marked "P7"? And what colour wires does it have?

Do you mean the Berg floppy connector?

After a little search I found one example of a Male Berg to 4 pin Molex but it was an American site. An in depth search might find something.

You have a few options:-

1) Chop the Berg connector off leaving a bit of wire just in case. Get a Molex extension and chop the relevant connector off, leaving a few cms of wire to work with. Solder black to black, yellow to yellow and red to red. Heatshrink and sleeve.

2) Buy a 4 pin PWM fan extension cable. Remove the shroud off the pinned end, just leaving the bare pin header and shove that in the Berg connector. Then chop the other end off and wire up to a Molex making sure the continuity is correct.

3) Get a different card, some of them have the Berg connector connection.

Thanks for the responses.

It looks exactly like that Berg floppy picture - wires are yellow and red with two black in the middle. I assumed that would be my only option as it is the only free connector sticking out of the PSU?

How would the standard molex splitter work?

Does the PSU even have a Molex connector? If not then those splitters won't work.

Having a look on eBay at the auctions there seem to only have a ATX connector, a 4 pin and a Sata connector and a black connector with 2 wires going to it, which coincidentally doesn't look much like a Berg connector.

Looks almost proprietary to me.

The plot thickens.

How about a quick picture of this mysterious connector?

Edit: Just noticed you said this

Maybe the ebay ones are different to yours then.
