Does anyone have any experience of the following PSU?

Zalman ZM600-HP Heatpipe Cooled 600W Modular PSU http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=CA-009-ZA&groupid=701&catid=123&subcat=

I have used both Seasonic (S12) and Tagan PSUs in the past. They have been great. Quiet and stable.

However, in the near future I'm going to be building a Crossfire or SLi system and wanted to know what other users have tried and found to be successful.

I read somewhere that 600W is sufficient for SLi. Can anyone very this?

Thanks in advance

I don't have any experience with Zalman PSUs but I know that you need 600W+ for SLi, crossfire. Whichever cards you are going to use you will be best seeing what they require. SLi/crossfire is a waste of money and time. Currently the GTX is the fastest card on the market, put that into a system and play some demanding games like Oblivion, FEAR etc and you will get good FPS in high resolution with the candy on like AA, AF etc. GTX with SLi would get a few extra FPS, but its not even going to be noticable to the human eye. 70FPS to 80-90FPS isn't really worth another £300 plus the hassle of having to set it up. Just get the best card on the market at any given time if you have this much money :)

Thanks for the advice Mishima. That helps a lot. I'll mostly be playing BF2 which is a huge memory sink so I might spend the extra on one GTX a better CPU and RAM if what you say about CF & SLi is correct...

Corsair have demonstrated quad-core with SLi'd 8800series cards plus multiple drives and watercooling on their HX 620w so a good 600w is sufficient but many people are happier going for 1kw PSUs for whatever reason. As mishima says SLi or Crossfire tends to be a bit of a waste unless you have an absolutely huge monitor and a lot of money, just go for the fastest card you can afford at the time. :)
