Yea I'm doing a whole build with 2 6950... Before I order parts I wanna make sure ram fits with cooler.... If I use the second set of ram sockets would this be ok?

Dont be patronising mate the system I'm building is for a friend...

My system is 2 580,s lightening pushing 3 screens 24inch with a more powerful PSU that is all that's changed in my spec list...

My mate got just over a grand to spend in parts...

Why the x58 architecture you ask that is because he bought an i7 920 D0 core dirt cheap so I have to build everything around this chipset...

he already has a 30inch monitor and PSU and SSD drive...

The spec I have come up with for him is

Asus rampage III mobo
Corsair vengeance 12gb ram
2 6950 ati cards 2gb ones in CF
TRUE 120 extreme heatsink.
And a HAF X gaming case to mount it all in.

Rather than being patronising listen to what I'm actually asking rather that speccing me a silly rig.
