Need quick help buying NEW XPS M1530

the machine's warranty had run out and i sent it to dell to get the graphics card fixed when it was returned the motherboard was broken! i dont think it's that hard to understand my the people got it fixed at school as they are friends and nice people

I see from your other posts that this was a second hand dell xps gen 2. These had a recall for batteries and can over heat because of this. These machines are often overclocked and can be damaged by doing so. So you have to be wary of buying them especially if they are cheap, you have to wonder why. Which explains why you where able to get one 2nd hand so cheap and way the replacement parts were so expensive.

Your machine has a bad history long before you gave it to Dell. That said if Dell accepted it for repair and sent it back as fixed, then you send it back to them, I don't see why they would charge you more unless theres more to this story. Which is highly likely. I suspect they realise theres more wrong with this laptop than just the gfx card.

I don't understand how they would have parts for a XPS just lying around.
